This is what you will do with us

In the role of IT Security Specialist, you will focus on ensuring that SVT safely maintains and further develops our IT environment. In the team, we have a common mission to work with the technical protections of systems, infrastructure, and information, and also support the entire organization in ongoing security and change initiatives. You will act as a generalist in the IT security field, which means that you will among other things:

• Integrate and further develop security solutions throughout the lifecycle of managing and developing IT systems
• Monitor and analyze technologies as well as potential threats
• Conduct penetration tests, code reviews, and manage incidents
• Design and implement technical design and architecture that meets both security requirements and our overall digital strategies and goals

Crucial for our success is awareness and maturity throughout our organization. This means that in your role, you drive knowledge and engagement for and within the security field throughout our operations.

Your team and workplace

The IT security team at SVT works independently and holistically across both the entire SVT organization and security work. The team is evolving rapidly and consists of individuals who together have broad and deep expertise in the IT security field. We currently work agilely in a scrum-like methodology where we together set priorities, and we have a strong voice and a large mandate to make and drive decisions that affect our work.

We operate under a hybrid policy and work together a few days a week at SVT's office in Gärdet.

More about you

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in, and several years of experience in, IT security. We believe you have a background in penetration testing, DevSecOps, or operational SOC work (or similar deep technical IT/cybersecurity roles), and if you haven't broadened your skills yet, you will have the opportunity here.

As a person and colleague, you take responsibility for your tasks and ensure they are completed on time and with high quality. You are used to facing different types of problems, and you use both your technical expertise and an effective and structured approach to find solutions that meet both the details' and the whole's requirements. You thrive and are motivated by collaboration and sharing knowledge both within and outside your immediate team.

Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement for this role.

As the position is classified in a security class, Swedish citizenship is required, and a security clearance will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
